What’s in the kit?
Each Geneseo Tempestry participant will need a kit of supplies to complete this project.
The kits that we have readily available are for knitting and crocheting only, but we are able to connect folks with supplies for many different kinds of Tempestry crafts, including embroidery, beading, and even paper craft! If you’re interested in a kit for a year other than the sesquicentennial year (2021), please fill out the Request temperature data form.
Each knitting/crocheting kit has the following supplies:
- Geneseo Tempestry yarn (enough for 2 months)
- Size 8 knitting needles or size J crochet hook
- 1 darning needle
- 1 row counter
Anyone can request a kit to participate in the Geneseo Tempestry project! We encourage you to connect with the on-campus group, but if that’s not possible for you, you’re more than welcome to work solo style.
For students
Your kits are supplied free of cost by the SUNY Geneseo 150th Anniversary Committee. Please fill out the form below and indicate your student status to claim your kit.
For staff/faculty/alumni
Faculty, staff, and alumni are expected to purchase their own kits. We do not handle any external purchasing, but we can put you in contact with Fuzzy Bunny to obtain a kit, and can provide kit pick up and distribution. Please fill out the form below to indicate your interest, and we will follow up with purchase information.
